A Common Man

"Why common man is not consider for getting the national recognition?", a thought always comes in my mind whenever i see any award ceremony. I am not saying that everyone who is getting an award, has done nothing for this country, but is it that the patriotism is only defined by the amount of social recognition of an individual.

For me, each and every person in this country carries the same feeling , same love for this nation and silently scarifies for this country. It is the common man, whose hands drives the economic wagon of this country, but as a result, what does a common get. The sweat and blood which he puts in driving this, is ripped by someone else. then who is the real hero.

Prominent people from prominent areas like films, cricket (I noted cricket out of a sport, because today it is something above any sport) etc are getting awards, but are they really the ones who should be getting this recognition. One should realize that, today they are famous because we have made them famous, today they are rich because we have made them rich. A film is successful when we make it successful, but does we get. These people don't even get time to meet with their fans, those people who pushed them to this height, where whole world is recognizing them, but they don't have time to even say THANK YOU to these people.

It is our money which they are enjoying on, we spend hundreds of money to buy a ticket and see the movie, regardless from where this money is coming from and this is the same money which goes to these people as a profit share, what do we get out of this?

I appreciate the legends who have given their lives, to make our tradition, our music breath. For me they are the heroes not people, who take money for even say "HI" to people. Think of the cricket team, they are the most lucky people. They are minting money, even though they win a match or loose a match, as they know that what ever be the situation, money will come to them.

We often say, we are getting more and more into the shoes of western culture. But have anyone thought, who is responsible for this, who is responsible to take us away from out culture, our tradition, our values. It is we only who are responsible for all these, we have opened our hands to welcome this culture from those, who once tried to cripple us. We fought with them for 150 years but what is the use, we are still slaves of the western influence. We call it as "OPEN MINDEDNESS". I am not against being open minded, but there is should be always a dividing line between open mindedness and well rooted individual. One should not forget his / her values, which their parents have taught them for their whole life.

Well... i don't want to get into this discussion again , but coming back to my point. If we, the common man, has built the class, has made people rich, has given our share, has included them in our lives. Then how should we feel, when the same society feels bad in meeting and talking with us, in understanding our problems and then we award these selfish people.

For me the real hero is that unidentified, faceless group of people, whose spirit runs the city. Although, we have forgotten our power, but it is not that we cannot change anything. If we can build this class then we can break that also, only we should realize the true power of being COMMON.

A thought, as heavy as a stone !!

A thought, as heavy, as a stone,
Sat on my lonely soul,
Making me helpless to remove,
Sitting still, not ready to move.

I wanted to inhale,
Some fresh air, of fresh lands,
I opened my mouth for the touch,
for those unique little hands.

I see a small village, infront of me,
beautifull and quite in its own,
small paths, crossing big fields,
and fields dancing in its own.

A thought, as heavy as a stone,
Sat on my lonely soul,
wanted to stay there for sometime,
away from the thought, of being alone.

I looked myself in the stream,
the water as so cold and pure,
flowing freely and happily,
without any pain or sore.

I lost my identity,
dont know , who i am ,
always wanted to be one of them,
but failed to become a man.

Is Karva Chauth against womanhood?

The day was most awaited by most of the women in this country as a day to show their love and commitment towards their husbands, was treated aa taboo against womanhood. Karva Chauth, being observed as a one os the most precious and sacred tradition, lived up in this country from centuries, was highlihted as a tradition against women or a tradition exploiting womanhood.

I was sitting on the sofa that day and was scanning accross the channels, when this new hit my eyes. People were shouting against this long old tradition as something, which is against womanhood. There were indeed a lot of clashes in the opinion, but the point being reffered was some where correct. If it is about love then why to fast? and if this is about companionship then why only females have to fast?

A thought or rather a statement came in my mind that, unless you enter turbulent waters, you cannot enjoy the ocean. Likewise, love blossoms on uneven surface of circumstances. More hard the situation given, love emerges as a winner...always. But talking on the human grounds, is it really right to have one sacrifice for  love and other do not bother.

But that is not right, most of the couples in today's generation understand the meaning of love and companionship. They believe that, love is all about working towards it as a team not as an individual. Love is a collective emotion not a singular. So they also devide their pain and happiness among themselves and as a reasult, both members of the couple keep this fast.

Love is there, then why this pain?? ...who says it is a pain. People who consider it as a pain and stop themselves to experience this, will never understand the satisfaction hidden behind it. Satisfaction os doing something for some one, who is so near to your heart. Satisfaction of doing some thing for you ever lasting LOVE. Sattisfaction of telling your partner, you love and care him / her. Satisfaction of laying a strong foundation of trust, companionship and sacrifice on the ground of love.

By saying probably every day , every minute that you love your partner do not imply your true love for her/ him. There are somethings which do not need words to describe, one small touch of dedication and conviction towards the relationship is well enough to make your partner understand , your emotions and this is something, creates a much larger and deeper effect in the hearts of both the partners.

Speaking on personal grounds, its being 9 yrs i have been keeping fast for my wife like the same way she keeps for me. Till today, i have not faced a single pain in doing this, neigther a single thought od "Why I am doing theis? or What is the need for me to do this?". We have a simple rule in our relationship, that whatever fasts, she does, I will also do...No questions asked and i think this is the reason of the advantures and love in our relationship.

But will you still keep the fast, if your partner is not able to keep the fast? My answer to this is YES. I have done this, This karva chauth, when my wife was not feeling well to keep the fast, I made a point to keep it for her. I would say, the desicion was entirely my personal and it came from my heart and i felt so satisfied. The point is, i didnt do this to show that my love is more than her love or something, but to emphasis a common emotion called as LOVE.

So a small thing i would remind you beautiful people is , Keep LOVE as an emotion, dont try to dillute it by mixing expectation, materialism in it. This is a mixture, which works best when it is taken PURE.

LOve is pure, keep it PURE !!
